Bambang Sriyanto Salamoen

Sriyanto (Fullname: Bambang Sriyanto Salamoen) was born in Cepu, a small town on the border of Central Java and East Java, on November 16, 1937. Sriyanto is a self-learner as he never took any formal education in the art of painting, nor he was taught by other painters. During his youth, he made friends with painters in surabaya and joined painters club called prabangkara, many times, he joint exhibited with senior painters from Surabaya. In jakarta, he became a member of The Indonesian Watercolor Society (Perkumpulan Pelukis Cat Air Indonesia) and has showcased his work with senior watercolor pinters in Indonesia to as fas away as China and South Korea.
To enrich his inspirations, he often travel domesticaly and to other exotic countries. Sriyanto's daily activities are mainly occupied with painting, drawing and sketching. For Sriyanto, there is no spare time without painting. that is his world. and for him, it is God blessing.
